State of New York Police Officers Memorial
This memorial is located in the Empire State Plaza in the City of Albany. The memorial is inscribed with the names of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty across New York State. It serves to remind visitors of the tremendous sacrifice made by these brave officers, and their families, for the safety of their communities.
Sergeant Timothy Williams, currently assigned to the West Station, has compiled information on eight Albany Police Officers killed in the line of duty since 1936. Please take a moment to read their stories and remember their sacrifice to our community.
