Unsolved Cases

Welcome the Albany Police Department link to unsolved cases. The cases listed in the navigation to the left are “Cold Cases” in which detectives have run out of solid leads in the investigation despite putting in a tremendous amount of effort to solve the crime. There are a wide variety of reasons why certain cases go unsolved and each one is unique unto itself.

Several of the cases are high profile in nature and have drawn a large amount of media attention but despite that, they remain open investigations. In many instances, unsolved cases rely on the community to provide future investigative leads.
