The City of Albany’s Department Of Recreation provides a wealth of recreational activities and facilities for all residents. We have worked very hard for the past twelve years in developing one of the finest recreational programs in the Capital District. Our summer playground programs have enriched the lives of countless youngsters. Our playgrounds, teen centers, swimming pools, skating rink, boxing program, karate program, fitness program and public bath facility provide all our residents with wonderful opportunities for healthy and enjoyable activities.
Recreation is much more than a pleasant diversion or a form of exercise. It is a way to strengthen our families and our neighborhoods and bring us together as a community.
