Food For Fines

The City of Albany has partnered with The Food Pantries for the Capital District in a “Food for Fines” parking ticket amnesty program. Any and all late penalties on parking ticket(s) prior to July 31, 2015, will be eliminated if parking tickets and surcharges are paid today in return for donations to the Food Pantries of the Capital Region.

To pay your parking tickets and have your late penalties removed in return for your donations of non-perishable, unexpired and unopened food items, come to City Hall, Parking Violations Bureau, 2nd Floor, 24 Eagle St., Albany 12207. You may also donate to local food pantries directly, click here for a list of local drop off locations, or make cash donations via The Food Pantries of the Capital Region website. Please keep in mind that protein items like canned tuna, chicken and beans, are in high demand right now.
