Grant Program
Within the City of Albany’s “Midtown” area, there are several different
educational institutions. The colleges and university located in this
area are centers of activity and stability. These institutions are

Mayor Jennings Announces Major Awards for the Port of Albany
Mayor Gerald D. Jennings announced today that the Port of Albany has received two prestigious awards from the Railway Industrial Clearance Association. The first award was given for outstanding customer satisfaction, and the second, recognized Albany as the most improved port in the nation for handling heavy lift cargo.

Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Proposed Residence Inn

Wellington Place Development to Start
ALBANY, N.Y. – Today Mayor Jennings was joined by Columbia Development and city officials to announce the start of the Wellington Place development. The $65 Million project will begin in Phase I, which includes environmental remediation, historic deconstruction and preservation and selective demolition.
