Project Description
Completed in 2019, the Historic Preservation Plan identifies future survey areas throughout the City. Cultural Resources surveys are essential to local preservation programs and typically result in preparation of National Register or local listings.
The goal of this project is to conduct a Intensive-level survey of the Warehouse District. The anticipated product will be a Cultural Resource Survey report with recommended next steps for the identified survey area. Based on the findings and recommendations of the report the Planning Department's goal is to list the Warehouse District on the State and National Register.
The project is funded by a Certified Local Government grant from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Division for Historic Preservation.
