ALBANY, NY – Four men were arrested Thursday afternoon following a search warrant on Philip Street where detectives recovered a loaded handgun, ammunition, and a quantity of marijuana.
On Thursday, February 4, 2021 at approximately 3:40 p.m., Albany detectives executed a search warrant at a home on the 100 block of Philip Street between Providence Place and Park Avenue in reference to an ongoing investigation. During the search warrant, detectives recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and loaded magazines, including a large capacity ammunition feeding device that holds 50 rounds of ammunition. Five and a half pounds of marijuana was also recovered from the residence. Four men were taken into custody.
- Elshaquille Douglas, 27, of Albany was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd. He was also found to be in possession of several oxycodone pills at the time of his arrest and was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
- Raymere Richardson, 27, of Albany was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd.
- Jahi Goodbee, 21, of Albany and Messiah Murphy, 22, of Albany were each charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd.
They were each arraigned this morning in Albany Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
