Responsibilities
The Animal Control Unit is responsible for:
Acting as a resource to patrol regarding animal complaints or maltreatment of all kinds
Assisting officers in preparing for court
Assisting patrol units when they encounter possible rabid animals
Being on call 24 hours a day for dog complaints
Responding to complaints in which dogs are:
Biting
Fighting
Off a leash
Treated poorly
Unlicensed
