[ARCHIVED] CONCENTRATED MARIJUANA BARS, LOADED HANDGUN AMONG ITEMS RECOVERED DURING SEARCH WARRANT IN PINE HILL

ALBANY, NY – A 23-year-old Schenectady man currently on parole for a prior weapons conviction, was arrested Monday for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon following a search warrant on Hamilton Street.

On Monday, February 8, 2021 at approximately 2:40 p.m., Albany detectives executed a search warrant at a home on the 500 block of Hamilton Street between Ontario and Partridge Streets as part of an ongoing investigation. During the search warrant, detectives recovered a loaded .38 caliber revolver, 1.5 pounds of marijuana and 22 “Wonka Bars” containing concentrated cannabis.

Jamar Sturdivant was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th.

He was arraigned this morning in Albany Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
