[ARCHIVED] ALBANY LAST RUN 5K KICKS OFF TOMORROW at 5PM

Albany, NY – The City of Albany presents the 25th annual Albany Last Run 5K kicking off on Saturday, December 11th at 5 p.m. The popular race is sold out, runner details can be found below!

The Last Run is a great race for all ages, featuring a beautiful course through Capital Holiday Lights in Washington Park, a starting line race warmup at 4:25pm and a fireworks show at 4:40pm. The race also features chip timing, age-based divisional awards and random prize drawings. Awards recognition and posting of results takes place at the base of the Egg at the Empire State Plaza Concourse following the race along with post-race refreshments from Shoprite and Stewarts.  

Parking is located in the surface lots, garages, and metered spots throughout downtown.  Parking is also available on event day at metered street parking spots and the New York State Cathedral and Madison Avenue parking lots. ***Please note parking restrictions and street closures when planning your route

Packet Pickup:  Pickup times and locations are below:

  • On Friday, December 10 from 11am-6pm you can pick up at Albany City Hall at 24 Eagle Street, Albany NY 12207. Limited parking space is available in front of City Hall while on business. Otherwise, please be prepared for paid metered parking on Friday.
  • Day-of packet pick-up will be at the Empire State Plaza by the entrance to The former Egg box office on Saturday, December 11th from 2pm until 4:30pm. Enter the Plaza at the Vietnam Memorial Entrance/Base of the Egg. There will be signs to direct you on the day of the race. This area will also be the location of our post-race results, awards recognition and post-race refreshments!
