[ARCHIVED] City of Albany Announces Capital Hills Golf Course to Close for the Season

ALBANY, NY – Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan and Department of General Services Commissioner Sergio Panunzio have announced that Capital Hills Golf Course will be closing for golf for the season. The last day of play will be Sunday, November 15, 2020. If you would like to book a tee time before the end of the season, please visit: Caphills.com.  

When Capital Hills Golf Course is closed to golfing, the Albany municipal golf course is open from dawn until dusk as a dog park and for walkers and runners. Dog owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs and taking the proper precautions to ensure the dog’s good behavior while utilizing the course. 

Martel’s Restaurant, located on the golf course grounds, remains open year round.  For hours and other restaurant details visit: MartelsRestaurant.com   

During the winter, the course is also utilized for winter sports such as snowshoeing, cross country skiing and sledding.
