No!  That's the beauty of community renewables.  You get all of the benefits of clean energy without having to install anything at your home.

National Grid customers must provide income-eligibility paperwork and a bill with an Energy Affordability Program (EAP).  

You are pre-qualified for an EAP if you belong to these programs:

• Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
• Lifeline Telephone Service Program (Lifeline)
• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (Food Stamps)
• Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
• Medicaid
• Veterans Disability or Survivors Pension
• Federal Public Housing Assistance
• Child Health Plus
• Utility Guarantee / Direct Vendor programs
• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
• Safety Net Assistance

No, this has no impact on your current electricity supplier.  

Basically, community solar helps you generate your own electricity to some degree, while ESCOs offer alternative pricing for the electricity you still get from the grid.

If you want to leave, terms and conditions may vary depending on the project.  It's important to review your subscription agreement to see if there are any particular requirements.  In most cases, you simply have to give a certain amount of notice so we can find someone else to take your spot.
