Sergio Adams has lived in the Capital Region for 15 years. He is a graduate of the University at Albany, receiving his degree in Urban Regional Planning. Sergio is a two-term Albany Democratic Committee member and proud to be representing the diverse neighborhoods in the 7th Ward – the Hudson Park neighborhood, Delaware Ave neighborhood, Second Ave neighborhood, and the Helderberg area.
As a public advocate, Sergio wants to ensure that every family has an affordable and safe home. From his work with nonprofit affordable housing organizations, he has seen firsthand how families are struggling to stay in their homes and the impact that homelessness has on them.
Sergio has a background in housing and construction, planning, and community development. As your councilman, he will address the issues concerning affordable housing, police reform, and workforce development. Sergio is committed to making his term a transformative time for the City of Albany and he will fight for you every step of the way.
