  • Special Events Permits are issued by the City Clerk’s Office. Complete the Online Special Events Permit Application form, or visit the City Clerk’s Licenses and Forms page to access a PDF copy.

  • The Tulip Festival is held in a large green park in the center of the city. Parking is available on nearby city streets and ParkAlbany parking lots, but please be prepared to walk a few blocks into the festival.

    Free Tulip Festival Parking Locations:
    -Elk Street parking lot, located behind the State Education Building.  The pick-up location will be Elk and Hawk at the Stop Sign.
    -Eagle Street parking lot, located at the corner of Eagle Street and Madison Avenue.

    Paid Tulip Festival Parking Locations:
    Off-street parking for Tulipfest is available just a short walk from Washington Park at the following ParkAlbany parking lots:
    -Parking Lot 2: Located at 72 Central Avenue (between Central Avenue & Western Avenue).
    -Parking Lot 3: Located at 327 Washington Avenue (at Washington and Lexington Avenue).
    -Parking Lot 4: Located at 124 Central Avenue (between Central Avenue & Bradford Street).

  • Handicap parking is located at Albany Medical Center (at Robin and Morris Street).  A free, accessible CDTA shuttle to and from handicap parking will run continuously from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

    The City will provide tools, but please bring a garden fork (not a shovel) if you have one.
    Bulbs are $10.00 for a bag of 30 bulbs while supplies last.
    The tulip dig is limited strictly to designated beds under the direction of park staff and volunteers., and ends promptly at 12:00 p.m.

    The remaining bulbs are first come/first serve and cost $10.00 per bag of 30 bulbs.

  • Washington Park is a public park and visitors are encouraged to visit any time at no charge.  

    Tulips may be viewed at any time, but we suggest you check with the Washington Park Conservancy to determine peak viewing times.

  • Each event has different requirements and requires an application. To access an application or more information, visit the Albany Events Vendor Information page.

  • In most circumstances, opening acts play from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and headliners take the stage around 6:30 p.m.

  • Parking is located at the nearby Riverfront Garage (2 Columbia Street).  Handicap parking and EV charging spaces are available at this location.  Parking rates vary, for more information visit: Park Albany 

    Limited on-street parking is available adjacent to the Riverfront Park / Concert site along Quay Street.  
    Parking meters are in effect Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.  On street parking is FREE after 5pm Mon-Fri and all day on Sat and Sun.
    To pay for metered parking in this area, please use the ParkAlbany App.

    Do you want to walk to Jennings Landing from downtown Albany? The site can be accessed by using the Hudson River Way pedestrian bridge which links Broadway to the Corning Preserve and Jennings Landing Amphitheater.  Walking access from Broadway begins across from Jim DiNapoli Park.

  • Handicap parking spaces are located on both lower and upper levels of the Riverfront Garage (2 Columbia Street).  Elevator access to the Hudson River Way Pedestrian Bridge is located just outside the Riverfront Garage's Maiden Lane pedestrian entrance.
