Cultural Affairs plans, produces and promotes City of Albany festivals, fairs and special events. The events promote arts, entertainment and cultural interest for all ages and demographics and draw an overall annual attendance of hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors to Albany and the Capital Region area.
These events range from the Albany's acclaimed Riverfront Jazz Festival to the time-honored tradition of the Albany Tulip Festival to the vibrant Alive at Five Summer Concert Series. Many of the events have won awards including the Hospitality Excellence Award from the Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau, Pinnacle Awards from the International Festival and Events Association and recently the Tulip Festival was named one of American Bus Association's Top 100 Events in North America.
This event is produced with the help of community volunteers and non-profits, and volunteers are still needed. Please contact us to be a part of this great experience.
