Trash Notices

There are multiple reasons why your trash or recycling may have been skipped, see the chart below for potential remedies to the violation in question.


Reason For Notice:
Remedy:
Over-sized Barrel

Take your bags out of the receptacle and place them to the curb with your next pickup.

Purchase a new trash receptacle that is less than or equal to 50 gallons in volume.

Barrel or Bag Too Heavy
Remove the heavier items from the barrel/ bag and place them in a separate bag to make them more manageable.
Non Recyclables/ Trash in Recycling Bin
Remove the trash from your recycling bin.
Medical/ Hazardous Waste
Remove these items and register with us for a Hazardous Household Waste Disposal Event.
Leaves in Plastic Bags
Remove the leaves from the plastic bag and put them in a bio-degradable bag.
Mattress/ Box Spring Not Covered

Wrap mattresses and box springs before placing them to the curb.

Mattress bags are available for free at 200 Henry Johnson Blvd, 1 Richard J Conners Blvd and 24 Eagle Street.
