How to Establish a New Connection
The property owner contracts with a licensed plumber for the construction of a new water service. There is a fee to the Albany Water Board for tapping the water main and also a fee for a water meter. Emergency Response Plan
This plan has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of State Sanitary Code, Chapter I, Subpart 5-1 Public Water Supplies. In addition, this Emergency Response Plan (ERP) meets applicable federal regulatory requirements for emergency management planning and reporting by satisfying the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (Public Law 107 -188). A copy of the EPA Guidance Document for complying with this Act has been included in Appendix A1.
